6-week intensive
Narcissistic abuse recovery intensive
Six weeks of private, structured sessions for adults who understand what happened and still do not feel free of it.
I am Barbara Duchnowski, LCSW — Certified Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician, EMDR therapist, and Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist. If you are still pulled under months after the breakup, that does not mean you failed therapy. Talk therapy often cannot finish a trauma bond by itself.
The intensive is a defined container. You are not dropped into an open-ended caseload.
What’s included
- Six 90-minute private sessions on HIPAA-compliant telehealth
- EMDR and/or parts work aimed at the core wound, not a general life history
- Downloadable practices for regulation between sessions
- Brief email support between sessions for implementation (not crisis care)
- One 30-minute integration session one month after week 6
What the six weeks look like
Week 1
Safety and nervous system reset
Map the cycle. Get steady enough to work.
Week 2
Boundaries
No contact or grey rock you can actually keep.
Week 3
Core wound
EMDR on “I am unlovable” / “this was my fault.”
Week 4
Identity
Separate your preferences from the version of you that relationship required.
Week 5
Rumination and confidence
Interrupt the mental court case.
Week 6
Integration
A written plan for the next 90 days so the old loop has less room.
Who this is for
- You have left, or you are emotionally detaching.
- You want structured work, not only a place to recap the week.
- You can invest in a defined container.
- You need to keep functioning — work, children, court — while this unwinds.
Who this is not for
- People in acute crisis who need weekly stabilization or a higher level of care.
- People whose goal is to change the other person.
- People who need this billed to insurance.
- People looking for a low-copay general therapist.
- People still wanting couples counseling with the high-control partner.
Price
Investment: $2,100 for the full 6-week container. The intensive is private pay and is not billed to insurance. That also means no claim on a shared or marital plan if privacy matters. The 15-minute consult is free and is a conversation about fit.
Sessions are discreet telehealth for New Jersey clients. You are welcome to book a 15-minute consult to see whether a container is open.
