Barbara Duchnowski, LCSW

Barbara Duchnowski is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Rutgers University. Over the past 25 years of experience in the mental health field, Barbara has worked in various clinical, educational, community, and private practice settings as a therapist, counselor, coach, and professional development trainer. Barbara is driven by her passion to help those struggling with life transitions recognize they “deserve good” in their lives and provide them with the foundations to work towards healing and living a fulfilling abundant life. In addition to her Master’s in Social Work, Barbara is certified as an Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist, Nurtured Heart Approach Trainer, Mental Health First Aid Trainer, and Arc-Grow Therapy.

Philosophy

What differentiates me as a therapist is that I work with you to define what we hope to accomplish together – and then focus on the positive results. The key is making you feel safe and comfortable in the entire process. I listen closely to you to form a “collaborative bond” which helps us better understand each other.

My approach to therapy utilizes several models of therapy including trauma attuned cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution focused, mindfulness, and hypnosis.
